Aaron A. O’Brien is a results-oriented agreements lawyer. An experienced transactional specialist and certified negotiator. Attorney O’Brien began his legal career practicing at an Am Law 100 Firm representing some of the nation’s largest and most productive companies. His business law experience includes advising founders through start-up and capital raising, mergers and acquisitions and arts and entertainment transactions.
Aaron is the Founding & Managing Partner of the O’Brien Law Firm. A small but growing practice headquartered in Cleveland and serving clients nationwide.
A dedicated civic servant, O’Brien has concluded multiple terms of service on the Boards of Directors of the Cleveland Public Library Foundation, Legal Aid Society of Cleveland and the Ohio State Bar Association. Aaron is an alumni member of Minds Matter of Cleveland where he served as the Vice President of Student Affairs and volunteer mentor for the initial 8 years of the organization.
Aaron currently still serves as the Chapter President of the Morehouse College Alumni Association of Cleveland and on the Board of Directors of the United Black Fund of Cleveland, Sisters of Charity Foundation of Cleveland and Classrooms to Corporations.
In 2019 Attorney O’Brien identified expungement and record-sealing as a means to help many people to achieve a new lease on life and remove a common barrier to employment and to family unification and personal empowerment. His work in this space with eligible clients further contributed to the development of Urgent Legal Care: a community law clinic designed to address urgent legal matters through the use of brief advice from qualified and competent advocates. www.urgentlegalcare.us
Aaron is a proud resident of the Historic Midtown neighborhood in Cleveland but is originally from Chicago, Illinois and comes to Cleveland by way of Atlanta, Georgia. Aaron is a creative and spiritually-grounded person. He enjoys reading and engaging in robust debate and discussion over a wide-range of subject matters. Aaron is always excited to learn of opportunities to continue to do Good work and make contributions that will benefit those who do and will come after us.

Over the years, I have committed myself to maintaining consistency. I work hard for my clients on every matter and each year we are blessed to complete a notable transaction.

Represented Acquirer in connection with $9.5M acquisition of privately-held corporation.
Represented Project Owner and Developer in connection with multi-million dollar project financing.
Represented Client to establish joint venture (JV) in connection with securing financing to develop local real estate and extinguish debt obstacles.
Provided fundamental soup-to-nuts counsel to Restaurant Proprietor and Franchise Owner in connection with the launch of new locations and new brand.
In 2018, it became clear that there would be a need to support more clients and dedicate more time to their affairs in a uniquely O'Brien way. We then began the development of an independent small law firm.
Graduated from Case Western Reserve University Law School and began legal career.
